My very own sourdough starter dehydrated and ready to hydrate and start your own baking journey.

Description

Dehydrated sourdough starter.

Equipment and ingredients required:

  • Clear glass jar or plastic container at least 500ml
  • Kitchen scale
  • All Purpose flour
  • Filtered water

Instructions:
Day 1:
Mix 20g dehydrated starter with 40g water
Let sit until rehydrated about 2 hrs
Add 20g flour, mix and let sit overnight, about 12 hrs
Day 2:
Add 60g flour, 60g water, mix and let sit overnight
Day 3:
Mix 50g rehydrated starter, 50g flour, and 50g water. Let sit for 4 hours or until doubled in volume.
You can now “feed” your starter again, using equal parts starter, water and flour.

My usual feeding ratio is 1:1:1 , starter:water:flour and I use a kitchen scale in grams.
